BREAKING NEWS: Unexploded World War Two Bomb in Bermondsey

Builders working in Bermondsey Spa have cracked the casing on an unexploded WW2 bomb, resulting in a large chunk of the local area being evacuated.

SE1, the local news blog, has rolling updates on today's events in our community. According to their coverage, builders working on a demolition site on Grange Walk cracked the bomb's casing prompting a bomb disposal team from Cambridge to be mobilised. 

Vets, local schools and other buildings have been evacuated, with people being told to congregate at local churches and leisure centres while they wait for the situation to be resolved.

I would urge people in the vicinity to remain calm and allow the emergency services to conduct their operations. I am working to find out all I can, but there will clearly be delays to local transport and limited access to certain areas.
