As many of you will know, last week Stan Hardy sadly passed away. Stan was a long time resident of Dulwich and a close friend of mine. Stan made a huge contribution to our community and will be deeply missed.
I would like to make everyone aware of the arrangements for Stan's last journey and his cremation and thanksgiving service.
Sunday 3rd November

Monday 4th November
9.45am - Memorial Garden at F.A Albin & Sons. Flowers will be laid at the memorial plaque for Maud Hardy MBE.
10am - Cortege of hearse and following cars will leave F.A Albin & Sons for Christchurch Methodist Church 263, Barry Road, London SE22 0JT (nearest station, North Dulwich, bus routes, 40, 12, 176, 185, 197).
10:30am - Short service of committal to be led by Reverend Graham Miles of Christchurch.
11:00am - Cortege will leave Christchurch and drive past Stan and Maud's former home in Court Lane, Dulwich and Hume House in Lordship Lane.
11.30am - Cremation at South London Crematorium, Rowan Road, Streatham, London SW16 5JG (nearest station, Streatham Common, bus route 118).

14.30pm (approx) - Reception for family and friends at a venue in Dulwich, yet to be finalised.
At a date to be fixed next year, Stan's ashes will be given their final resting place, with those of Maud, in Bermondsey - and a further event to commemorate them both will be held.
Preference is for no flowers other than from family, and arrangements for donations in Stan's memory will also be finalised in the next few days and circulated.
For any further information, please contact Neil on 020 7237 3637 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Val and other members of the family, Pat, Kevin and Kath and I all look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on 3rd or 4th November or both.
As ever, sincerely,
