Bank holiday Sunday was a another great day for Southwark Park - as our new cricket team won their very first game on Southwark Park Oval.

A one wicket victory over Burgess Park meant that the cup in honour of Bermondsey's greatest cricketer Bobby Abel was won by the new Southwark Park side.

The day as a whole was a great success - with our very own Southwark concert band playing on the bandstand. This was all part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Act of Parliament which set up Southwark Park.
