Hughes News from Liberal Democrats' Autumn Conference5.00.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Thu 18th Sep 2008 The Liberal Democrats headed to Bournemouth on Saturday for five days of debate and discussion at their Autumn conference. The conference was Simon's last as President of the Liberal Democrats before party elections - open to members old and new - in November. Simon addressed the conference floor four times, on pensions, tax and asylum - as well as his Presidential speech.
