Happy Diwali to all of my brothers and sisters in the Hindu community, in London, the UK, and around the world.

Diwali has been celebrated by Hindus across the world for thousands of years to commemorate the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness portraying a message that is universal in nature.
On the 15th October, I attended the Diwali at Westminster function held by Hindu Forum Britain. The event is held every year and brings together Members of the Houses of Parliament, from across all parties, to celebrate the festival of Diwali with religious leaders, leading figures from business and academia and distinguished guests representing the diverse communities, institutions and organisations across UK.
It was a pleasure and a privilege to take part in the typically vibrant event, and I wish all Hindus health and happiness on such an important day.
