Extra Funding Needed for the NHS

The Government should commit up to £1.5 billion extra for the NHS.

This call was backed by Liberal Democrat MP Norman Lamb who has called on the Government to free up extra cash for the NHS in the upcoming Autumn Statement.

Extra funding is essential so that the focus can be on improving mental health care, particularly for children and young people.

Local residents in Southwark know how vital the NHS services are. This is why I've campaigned for Guy's Hospital in the past, when Labour tried to shut it down. And this is why the Government should commit up to £1.5 billion extra to protect our NHS.

This extra money will make a big difference across the country, ensuring our NHS remains the envy of the world.
