Many Bermondsey people will be very sad to hear that Elizabeth Cole, or Nobby as many knew her, died on Thursday last week.
Nobby was 95 years of age, born just after the end of the First World War, on June 30th 1919.
Liz was a Bermondsey girl, from a proud Bermondsey family, who loved her family, community and many friends. She served her country and her community, and was proud to be a Riverside Liberal Democrat councillor in the nineties. Liz died peacefully, surrounded by her family, last week, but her lively, loving, fun-filled character will be remembered always by her family and friends. Liberal Democrats join all her other friends in saying to Liz’s family that we will miss her much but forget her never.
Liz Cole’s funeral will take place at 1330 on Thursday 20th November, starting from her home at 45 St James Road. The funeral and cremation service will take place at Honor Oak. All are welcome.
