Calls for restraint after Borough stabbing

Friday's fatal stabbing Borough is an awful tragedy.

A young life was cruelly taken. His family and friends have our deepest sympathy - violent attacks are never justified.

I call on everyone, particularly young people in Southwark or elsewhere who knew the victim, to restrain themselves from any further action which might make matters even worse.

I really hope that anybody who knows anything, or thinks they know anything about the attack or the reasons for the attack will contact the police or crimestoppers now.

Any witnesses or anyone with any information are asked to call the incident room on 020 8721 4956, or police via 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via
