Another month brings another fall in unemployment



Unemployment has fallen for another consecutive month for August in Bermondsey and Old Southwark, according to the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics.

The number of people claiming Job Seeker’s Allowance stands at 2990 for August 2014, down by over a thousand compared to 4,081 for August 2013. In fact, the unemployment figure is at its lowest since December 2008, when it stood at 3,029.
